8.Where Are You Now? Join this community for free. Create a profile with photos, links, and posts to update your friends and family on how much fun you’re having during your travels.

9.Gusto: Gusto allows you to “collect travel information, organize it into categories, and plan your vacation…without the headaches.” This easy-to-use travel site is also great for finding or writing recommendations about anything and everything you can experience on vacation.

1.SoGoNow.com:Search by destination or look through the “best of” section to get ideas on vacations all over the world. Day trips, weekend getaways, and other suggestions are all over this great site.

2.LonelyPlanet blog: The blog found on the Lonely Planet Web site is great for vacation planning. Search the many travel stories that others have posted. You can copy any vacation that sounds exciting to you too.

3.London Toolkit: This Web site has everything you need to plan a trip to London.

4.BargainTravelCruises.com: Find budget travel information for booking a group travel package on cruises all over the world.

5.Roadtrip America: This site is the prime resource for planning a multitude of different roadtrips all over America.

6.GoEurope.about.com: This table of contents lists several must-read articles about planning a trip to Europe including “Student Travel Planning” and “Suggested Itineraries.”

7.The Consumer Vacation Guide: This guide finds cheap travel packages and other all-inclusive deals so you don’t have to worry about planning a thing.

8.“Planning Tools and Strategies for Budget Travel:” This article includes lots of great tips for planning the perfect budget vacation.

9.Rand McNally TripMaker Planning Tool: This feature on the Rand McNally Web site allows you to custom design your vacation online. It helps you stay organized while experimenting with different destinations, schedules, and more.



Phone and E-mail Use: If you’re going to be away from the country for even a few days, you’re going to want to get to a computer to assure friends and family you’ve arrived safely; to check on the status of flights and trains; and to check on your bank account. Cell phone use may not seem as important to you, but if you’re going to live on another continent for a semester abroad or to work, you’ll want the best deals on staying connected locally, as well as globally.

Ο Ελληνικός Τουρισμός δεν είναι μόνος του!


Σήμερα το πρωί μου προωθήθηκε (γειά σου Αντώνη τα λέμε σε λίγο) και την Καθηγήτρια στο τμήμα Μάρκετινγκ της ΑΣΟΕΕ κα Πολίνα Παπασταθοπούλου (τους χαιρετισμούς και το θαυμασμό μου) το εξής μήνυμα από Κύπρο:

"Μια φωτογραφία από μια εντυπωσιακή (και συγκινητική)


ενέργεια που πραγματοποιείται αυτή την περίοδο στην Κύπρο. Με τον τρόπο αυτό

οι εμπνευστές της συμπάσχουν με την Ελλάδα, για τη δύσκολη κατάσταση που

περνά και καλούν για συστράτευση και στήριξη της ελληνικής οικονομίας μέσω

της πραγματοποίησης των φετινών διακοπών ΜΟΝΟ ΣΤΗΝ ΕΛΛΑΔΑ!

Σημειώστε ότι αυτή η υπαίθρια "διαφήμιση"-πρόσκληση εμφανίζεται σε πολλά

σημεία, στον πιο πολυσύχναστο δρόμο της Κύπρου, ο οποίος συνδέει τις

κυριότερες πόλεις μεταξύ τους.

Σημαντικό να αναφερθεί, επίσης, είναι το γεγονός ότι -- άσχετα με την εν

λόγω ενέργεια -- πολύς κόσμος πραγματικά προβληματίζεται με τον ίδιο τρόπο:

πώς, δηλαδή, μπορεί να συνεισφέρει στη μεγάλη, πανεθνική προσπάθεια που

γίνεται για την ανόρθωση της ελληνικής οικονομίας. "

Το μόνο σχόλιο που έχω εγώ να κάνω είναι πως εμείς οι άνθρωποι του Τουρισμού θα πρέπει να αξιοποιήσουμε κάθε κίνηση και χέρι βοηθείας και να μην επαναπαυόμαστε στην κλασική φράση "η κρίση θα μας πιάσει όλους, ας περιμένουμε να δούμε τι θα γίνει"....ΟΧΙ... ΣΤΟ ΧΕΡΙ ΜΑΣ ΕΙΝΑΙ ΝΑ ΤΟ ΚΑΝΟΥΜΕ ΝΑ ΓΙΝΕΙ...Η ΑΠΑΝΤΗΣΗ ΜΑΣ ΣΤΗΝ ΚΡΙΣΗ ΕΙΝΑΙ (λίγη) ΔΟΥΛΕΙΑ ΚΑΙ (πολύ) ΕΜΠΝΕΥΣΗ!

Η χωριάτικη και ο Notis, ή αλλιώς διαφορά των εργαλείων προώθησης με το Μάρκετινγκ

Γράφω με αφορμή μια πολύ ωραία παραβολή (?) του εν Χριστώ αδερφού cathpain αναφορικά με τη διαφορά των εργαλείων προώθησης (λέγε με pr, social media, seo, advertising, campaigns, και βάλε) με το Μάρκετινγκ, ως επιστήμη και στρατηγική.

Λέει ο Θέμης χαρακτηριστικά:
"Ας υποθέσουμε λοιπόν ότι αντί για την ανάγκη για επιχειρηματικό αποτέλεσμα, ειναι καλοκαιράκι και πεινάμε και θέλουμε να φάμε κάτι δροσερό και ελαφρύ. Μια καλή ιδέα είναι να φάμε ντομάτα που έχουμε, νόστιμη και δροσερή. Ο γεωπόνος λέει είναι εκπληκτική και βιολογική, εξαιρετικής παραγωγής. Ο παραγωγός πάλι είναι από την Ιεράπετρα, παράδοση στη ντομάτα. Έχουμε και τις επιλογές μας, να τη φάμε σκέτη με φέτα ή να φτιάξουμε μια χωριάτικη με αγγουράκι, λάδι και φέτα ή πάλι γεμιστά, για ποικιλία. Συνεπώς συνειδητοποιούμε ότι απαιτείται κάποια συνταγή και γνώσεις μαγειρικής (για να δούμε και τι θέλουμε να επιλέξουμε αλλά και πως θα το φτιάξουμε). Δυστυχώς ούτε ο παραγωγός, ούτε ο γεωπόνος μπορούν αποδεδειγμένα να μαγειρέψουν μια καλή χωριάτικη, αλλά ούτε και γεμιστά (ακόμα χειρότερα).


Τα social media, τα applications, οι διαφημίσεις, τα sites, η προσωπική πώληση κτλ, είναι οι ντομάτες, το ρύζι, τα αγγουράκια, το λάδι. Όλα χρήσιμα, αλλά από μόνα τους δεν κάνουν ένα μοναδικό πιάτο που θα σου μείνει και ούτε θα θες να ξαναφάς (επαναλαμβανόμενος πελάτης). Αν δε ξέρεις τι θέλεις να φτιάξεις (στόχος), δεν έχεις τη σωστή συνταγή (στρατηγική-ΜΚΤ Plan) και φαντασία (ικανότητες στην έρευνα και στην υλοποίηση) και δε ξέρεις κυρίως ποιους θέλεις να ικανοποιήσεις (αγορά στόχος), απλά δε θα σου πετύχει η συνταγή και πάει στράφι η όποια διάθεση σου να μαγειρέψεις (ικανοποίηση πελάτη) και τα όποια έξοδα σου για έξτρα υλικά (κόστος, χρόνος, πόροι και ενέργεια)."


Αυτά έγραψε πριν λίγο ο Θέμης, που θα πρέπει να πεινούσε και λίγο λόγω της ώρας.
Εγώ από την άλλη που είμαι και του ποιοτικού, χρόνια τώρα λέω στους φοιτητές μου:


Αυτός που ξέρει να χρησιμοποιεί τα εργαλεία του μάρκετινγκ, λέγεται ΤΕΧΝΙΤΗΣ, ενώ


Αυτός που βάζει στρατηγική και φανταστία κατά τη χρήση των εργαλείων, λέγεται ΚΑΛΛΙΤΕΧΝΗΣ


και όπως λέει ο λαϊκός σύγχρονος ποιητής της γενιάς των 700, Νότης Σφακιανάκης (δες και το σαϊτέσιον εδώ)

ΚΑΛΛΙΤΕΧΝΗΣ ΘΑ ΠΕΙ ΝΑ ΜΙΛΑΣ ΜΕ ΣΙΩΠΗ
και να ακούνε οι άλλοι

κι όλα όσα μιμείσαι

Opentourism III με τον Υπουργό Πολιτισμού & Τουρισμού

Mετά τα επιτυχημένα Opentourism I & II, μια τρίτη ανοιχτή συζήτηση για τον τουρισμό θα γίνει την επόμενη Τρίτη απόγευμα διαδικτυακά με προσκεκλημένο ομιλητή τον Υπουργό Πολιτισμού & Τουρισμού, Παύλο Γερουλάνο.




Είστε όλοι ευπρόσδεκτοι να παρακολουθήσετε ζωντανά τη συζήτηση διαδικτυακά μέσω του www.visitgreece.gr/live



Είναι βέβαιο ότι ο υπουργός θα δεχτεί καποιες ερωτήσεις διαδικτυακά. Μπορείτε να τις στέλνετε τόσο μέσω twitter (με το hashtag #opentourism).
